About Little Ridge Intermediate School
Little Ridge Intermediate School serves students in grades 3–5, building on the strong educational foundation established in the early elementary years while preparing students for success in middle school and beyond. The school is committed to providing engaging, student-centered instruction that challenges every learner to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Recognized as a 2024–2025 Alabama Reading Initiative (ARI) Science of Reading Spotlight School, Little Ridge is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based literacy instruction. Through the Science of Reading, targeted interventions, and personalized support, students develop strong foundational reading skills while fostering a lifelong love of learning.
Beyond literacy, students engage in rigorous instruction across all subject areas, hands-on STEM experiences, fine arts, technology integration, and enrichment opportunities that encourage creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. A caring school culture, strong family partnerships, and high expectations ensure every child is known, supported, and challenged to reach their full potential.
At Little Ridge Intermediate School, we are proud to inspire curiosity, celebrate achievement, and prepare students to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
